Downtown Trick-or-Treating

Posted by Picasa

Happy Halloween!

I took the day off today. What a great day it was to take off! The weather was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

I took Anitra to her eye doctor appointment, kept the kids while she was at the doctor, went to my doctor appointment, took my hubby lunch, went trick-or-treating, took a nap, ate dinner at mom's and now I'm blogging. What a g.r.e.a.t. day!! :)

We all met at Grandma's house, got the kids dressed and headed to Goshen downtown to go trick-or-treating. It's really nice because a lot of the business' downtown pass out treats and it's daylight and a lot safer! :)

Seth and Brian both got to go and Aunt Jeannie came along too! I was so glad that I got to be there too! It's always great when we have the same number of adults that we do kids! :)

Grandma's House

One night after work this week, we all went over to Grandma's house for dinner. We had to eat in shifts because of all the kids! :) Brian came a little late and brought flowers for Grandma, Anitra and me. He didn't realize April was going to be there too...anyway, Brenna really wanted some flowers. Look how happy she is in that pic!

It was a pretty happening night...Ty was changing his babies diaper, Jacinda was getting held by EVERYONE, Senica, Brenna and Janae were taking turns being the photographer (that's why Brenna's almost cut out of the top pic) and lots of organ playing. :)

It was a great night! Thanks Grandma for having us over!

Riverwalk

I have been waiting to head down to the Riverwalk to get some pictures of the leaves changing. Well, the weatherman had me a little nervous that I was going to miss my photo-op when he started talking about snow. And since I am not a gambler, Brian and I headed down to the River after church today. Well, the leaves aren't exactly changing yet, but it was a beautiful afternoon! It was so quiet and peaceful down there. The wind was blowing and you could hear the water and leaves and just the sounds of nature.

I never realized how pretty it was down there at the park. It was the first time that we had been there! Brian said some of the trees had to be older than 100 years old. I told him to go stand by one, so you could tell how big it was....and you know my husband...you had to put his leg around it. What a goof!

These boots are made for walkin'

When I was little, I loved my grandma's lipstick and SHOES!

When Senica and Ty come over, they head straight to my "shoe wall" Well, Senica put on my black boots and Ty insisted on the brown ones. Brian said that Ty walked like Forest Gump when he had those braces on his legs. His toes pointed straight out and with every step he took, we thought he was gonna eat the ground.

Aren't they cute!?

Fall Hayride

Ok, so I need to back-track a day or two...

Saturday night Adam and Mary hosted a Fall party at their house for our Sunday School class. There ended up being 26 adults and 19 kids!! Mary is a wonderful hostess and planned games for the kids and the kids at heart. :) The little kids had a gourd-hunt and the adults ran around with yard tools trying to hit golf balls and jumping around in sacks. The kids probably think the adults are crazy! :) We had chili and all kinds of yummy food and then to top the night off, an awesome hayride and bonfire.

Thanks so much Adam and Mary for hosting! Brian and I had a great time!

2 Peanuts

Last night, I went and spent the night with April, Brenna, Adria and Jacinda. Janae spent the night with Anitra's family. It was Brian's first night back to work, so I went to help in case both Adria and Jacinda were up at the same time. Well, they were! Adria was up from 1:15-3:00! April would feed Jacinda and then we would trade kids. Brenna was up early to watch her cartoons, so there wasn't much sleeping.

We don't think either of the girls are feeling too well. Jacinda was spitting up a lot more than normal and Adria isn't acting herself either. Please say a prayer for these 2 little peanuts...and for their mommy too! She is not getting much sleep!!

I was thankful I could spend the night and help (a little). I can't help much during the week since I work, but I like to help out on the weekends when I can. Of course, with such cuties...who wouldn't want to?! :)

Pumpkin time!

Once the train arrived at our destination, we got out and picked the pumpkins we wanted. Brian helped mom put all the pumpkins back on the train and then we headed to the playground. The kids got to run out some of their energy out on the playground before getting back on the train. It was a wonderful day! Great idea mom...we loved it!! :)

I hear the train a comin'

Sunday afternoon we drove up to Coldwater, Michigan to take the "pumpkin train" to Quincy. It's about a 30-minute ride on the train to get the pumpkins and then another 30-minute ride back. Mom, Bobby, Anitra, Seth, Brian and I took Janae, Brenna, Senica, Ty and Adria. It was a gorgeous day and the kids had a really good time. I think the adults did too! :) It was so much fun opening the windows and sticking our heads out.

Savannah

Brian and I got a chance to go meet Savannah Lee for the first time! Oh yeah, Kristi and Dave were there too! :) Isn't she a cutie?

Janae is 7!!

Happy Birthday Janae!

You are growing up to be such a beautiful young lady! You were adorable from the day you were born! I can remember being so proud of your mommy and I couldn't drive fast enough to Kentucky to show Aunt Anitra how pretty you were! I can't believe that was 7 years ago! I am so proud of you! You are such a smart girl and whenever you are around...we are sure to laugh! :) You do a great job at helping your mom and dad with your little sisters and even helping with Ty too!

I love you Janae and feel so lucky that God let me be your aunt! :)

Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday Janae!

Today our (not so)little Janae turned 7! On her birthday, we go to Hacienda and have mudslides...I think this year we ordered 4 of them! :) April brought a candle for her, but we forgot to get it out! Here are a few snapshots from the night. Thanks to mom who watched Adria and Jacinda so we could celebrate.

Little pumpkins

The other day we went to pick up Anitra and the kids for one last trip to Dogg 'N Mugg for the season. I pulled in the drive and had to laugh. The kids had painted pumpkins at mom's house and Anitra had set them on the front porch. The pumpkins are so little that you have to click on the top picture to really even see them! It struck me as really, really funny!

So our little pumpkins went and got their little pumpkins and posed for me for some pictures!

Savannah Lee

Kristi called me yesterday when I was leaving work and they were at the hospital...4 cm. Dave called me last night at 10:45 and said still no baby and that Kristi was only at 5 cm. She had gotten an epidural about an hour before.

Last night I slept with my phone in my hand waiting to hear something...

This morning at 7:15 I got a text from Kristi..

"We have a beautiful little girl, Savannah Lee, born at 4:44am. 8lb. 13 oz. We are exhausted. Been up for 27 hours now. We are gonna get some sleep, then I'll text you pics."

I will update with some pictures as soon as I have some...which you know I will! :)

Thanks for all of your prayers for Kristi, Dave and Savannah!

Can't get enough

Little Jacinda is just too cute! I can't possibly get enough of her. April and I were changing her clothes to put her in a nice outfit for pictures. April thought she might get mad at us, but she did real good and didn't throw a fit. She's such an angel! :)

More cuteness...

Ok, so I know I am the aunt...but I think it's pretty safe to say that Jacinda was the most popular baby in the birthing unit! She had so many visitors that came to see her. Obviously, she is loved and so are her parents!

Brothers

The boys came out to Indiana for a boys vacation of golfing! It also happened to be Jake's birthday week. :)

Senica and Ty loved having their uncles here to play with. Ty got to wrestle and Senica taught Jake how to count! ha As you can see, Papa was also extremely happy to have his boys here.

It's always to quick of a trip when they come out! :(

Family photos

So here are the first family photos!! Aren't they such a beautiful family?

We are so blessed and so thankful for the wonderful gifts God has given us in all of these beautiful girls!!

Vistiors, visitors!

So, do you think Jacinda is loved?

The nurse told us that she would let the family come up after 8pm, although that's when visiting hours ends, since April didn't have Jacinda until 6pm, I don't think she knew what she was saying yes to!

At one point, we had 7 children in the room and 15 adults!

Isn't that pic so cute of Ty kissing Jacinda? And then April and her two little mama's girls? And sweet Brenna crying because she didn't want to leave her mom.
**Anitra called and said she was skipping by the time they got to the elevator because Anitra said she could play with her Webkins!

The bottom collage shows you a little bit of the madness....and then the calm and quiet that April had with Adria. :)

The waiting...the delivery

These pictures are of the waiting...the delivery...and then the pure joy that came when Jacinda was born!

I can't remember what we were talking about, but Brian had run to the fire station to get a few things and it was just Anitra, April and I in the room. Who knows what we were talking about. Maybe it was when Anitra tried to sit in the chair and she didn't lock the wheels and the chair rolled away from her!

Then the delivery...April did such an amazing job. She did so good and we are so proud of her!! As you can see in the last collage, when it comes to babies, all April and Brian know is how to make cute ones!! We are so glad that she is here and healthy!!
