Tuckered out
As you can tell from the picture in the middle, Ty had a doughnut for breakfast! :) Actually, they all did. I can't remember a time when Janae spent the night at Anitra's and Anitra didn't get up and make pancakes. Well, I knew Seth was getting up early to fish and Anitra was going to have the 3 kids and try to also run a garage sale. So Brian and I got Krispy Kreme for them so they could have that for breakfast. The one pic is their first customer at the Lemonade stand.
Lemonade Stand
Saturday Anitra was having a garage sale as part of our neighborhood sale. Friday, April dropped Janae off at work and she went to dinner with Brian and I. Then I took her to Anitra's and she spent the night with Senica. Saturday morning, Anitra had me come down at 7:30am to help her move tables. I stayed for a little while, helping her setup stuff and letting her get some things done in the house. Janae and Senica set up a Lemonade table. They had Kool-Aid, water and Lemonade. Their first 5 sales were donations only! How nice of those "customers".
Ty was taking the balls out of the "sale" bin and wanting to play with them. He then, was worming his way between potential buyers and the stuff for sale. So, I took him down to my house to get him out of the way. Brian was at work, so Ty and I hung out. I got him a nap and lunch then took him back home. I had to get ready for the family to come over for our Father's Day cookout.

Aren't they cute??
I love these pics! I just had to post them. You did good Anitra...you pulled off a suprise. Senica did really good too by not telling her daddy the "secret."
Happy Father's Day....early
"You're Crazy!"
"Are you serious?"
"Oh my Goodness!"

Really, what's old?
Tonight I had to go to the grocery store and the Family Christian Bookstore. I had called Anitra to see if she needed anything at the store and she asked if I would pick something up for her and also that she had a coupon if I wanted to stop and pick it up. I stopped by and Senica wanted to go with me. So, off to the FCB Senica and I went. Then to Kroger to get groceries.
They are repaving McKinley and the road is kinda rough. I said to Senica there is gonna be a bump....and then another one. She asked why the road was so bumpy. I said, "well, it's old and it needed updated". She says "Is it old like Grandma Pottenger? Cuz, Addi, you know she's old, but Grandma Jeri isn't". It reminded me of something in my baby book. When I was 3, I said to my Grandma Pauly "You're pretty old aren't you grandma? I'm only 3. I don't go to school, I go to Sunday School".
It was weird because I can remember reading that about myself and it was so similar to the conversation I was having with Senica.

A day of rest?

Sunday was exhausting! Saturday night, Anitra and the kids stayed the night since Seth was out of town. Anitra had to be to church early so Brian got up and made breakfast for the kids and I and I got them dressed and off to church we went. After church, we headed to mom's because she was watching the kids while Anitra and I went to Stacy's shower back at the church. We forgot the kids bag with their play clothes so mom took them to Wally World. So, Mishawaka to Goshen - Goshen back to Mishawaka. We got to mom's dropped off the kids and ate a quick lunch! Thanks mom for having it ready for us! :) Then as we were heading back to the shower, I realized Stacy's gift was sitting on my kitchen table and we were already late! Uggghhhhh!
Anyway, the shower was fun and Stacy and Baby G got a lot of nice gifts! I love the picture frame she got that she is holding in the bottom right corner. We are so excited for Baby G to get here! Stacy has been swimming throughout her whole pregnancy - I mean lots of swimming! I am amazed at this women. She is truly awesome!

Games
And then there were the games. We have a pretty competitive group!! I had never played this plumber's golf game...I think that's what they called it. And really I wasn't that good. I like corn hole better! :)
The Challenge!
Don't challenge Cory to folding a blanket in less than two minutes. He'll figure out a way to get it done! Now, it would take me 10 minutes to do it....we have a blanket like this one. It's really nice, but we don't use it often, b/c I can't ever figure out how to fold it just right and get it zipped!
What a handsome little fella!
Playground time
This kids had a lot of fun on the playground. The ground was cut-up tires instead of stones, which was nice when the kids fell. Senica had no fear climbing on everything. Oh yes, and don't tell Jeff that he isn't a kid anymore...he still is a kid at heart! :)
Happy Birthday Danny!
Saturday night, we had a surprise (or not) birthday party for Danny. Danny and Peggy are friends of ours from church and Peggy had organized a birthday party at this park in Mishawaka that we never knew even existed! It was such a neat little park and had a nice playground for the kids too! Danny and Peggy are in the top left picture. Brian grilled and there was lots of really, really good food and fun games to play! I think a good time was had by all!!! Brian and I sure had fun! Thanks Dannny for being born so we could party! :)
Brian's Boo Boo
Sunny Saturday
Saturday morning Brian had to work. Anitra called and asked if I wanted to come down so she could have some adult conversation. Ha! I went down to her house and after (during) lunch, I put Adria to sleep and Anitra put Ty down for his nap. The three older girls came down to my house with me and we swam again. After swimming, they came in and played some Wii. Then back out to swim! We were having a birthday party for one of our friends, Danny, and I was making cupcakes for the party. Brenna and Senica were downstairs "bowling" and Janae was telling me about her high bowling score and how she got a "token" which is really a medal. Anyway, Brian was cleaning up around the pool in the backyard. All of a sudden, I thought I heard Brian yelling my name...I went outside and he had fallen through our steps leading up to the pool. The board had rotted and his foot went right through it! He was laying, all twisted on the ground and he has a bruise that is then entire length of his calf! He also has a pretty sore back! See next post for pics...
Our little water bug!
Isn't she just a doll?? She is a sweet, sweet baby! Such a good little girl...the cutest thing from the weekend was Saturday afternoon when she was eating lunch. Anitra had her in the high chair and was cutting up watermelon and putting in on her tray. She picked up a piece and started to eat it and her eyes looked a little dreamy. I told Anitra I thought she was going to fall asleep while eating...next thing you know, her head started to bob a little. I put my hand next to her head and sure enough, she laid her precious little head in my hand and went right to sleep! Such an angel!!

The many faces of Janae
Janae asked if I would do a "faces" blog of her. So, we told her different situations and she gave us a facial expressions to go with each one. Everyone one except the middle picture, that is just her being so adorable on her own! :)
On another note, Janae was such a blessing this weekend! She is a really good big sister and helped so much with the little ones! She shared good, listened to what she was told, and was just a GREAT helper!
Love you Nae! ;)
Guess who?
Two kids didn't want to be in the water or get splashed...the other three couldn't have cared more! Guess who loved the water? Now guess who didn't! :)
Friday at the pool
Friday, I took a day off of work and my sisters and I planned on taking the kids to the zoo. Well, it was so stinkn' humid/hot and the kids and mom's had not slept the night before, so plans changed and we decided to just spend the day at the pool.
April and the girls headed over and stopped to pick up Senica and Ty at Anitra's. Anitra had not slept well the night before and Seth is out of town (wedding in Georgia) and she was keeping April's girls all night b/c April had to work Saturday morning, so Antra had some things to do at home. I made lunch and we got the kids fed, diapers changed, sunscreen on and finally the bathing suits! It was a beautiful afternoon and the kids had so much fun swimming. It was a great, great day! Any day that I get to spend with my sisters and nieces/nephew is a great day! I was so happy they all came over and wished somehow I could always have Friday's off! Good luck with that, right Cheryl?! :)
When we got done swimming, the t'storms started rolling in and so we headed to the basement. The girls played very nice downstairs in the toy room and cleaned up so well before they left!
For supper, we went down to Anitra's and had pizza. Brian got home and we went and rented movies and had a movie night just the two of us!
It was a wonderful day and a super way to start the weekend!!

Happy Thoughts!
Ok, since it's been a stressful past few days...I wanted to browse through our honeymoon pics. (they always make me happy!) So, here are a few of my favs.
**I didn't mean to cutoff Brian's head in the top row. In the real picture it's there, but when Picasa put it in the collage, he's just too tall!

When it rains, it pours!
This past weekend, we had to call out the plumber because we were having problems with our downstairs toilet. Toilet - BROKE Some of you might remember last October when we had major plumbing problems and had to call out the plumber in the middle of the night! Well, more roots had grown in and $225 later, it's fixed. For now...
Today when I went to leave for work, the garage door was making funny noises. As I pulled out of the drive and closed the door, it stopped short of it's intended destination! So, I got out of the car and had to manually shut it. Garage door - BROKE
Brian called me on the way home and said his car overheated and died and it was being taken to the mechanic! Car - BROKE
When it rains, it pours! But, the sun will come out again...and sometimes the sun starts to shine through, just as the rain is finishing. These pictures are from our honeymoon...when it poured and then the sun came out and there was a beautiful rainbow!
The rainbow is God's promise to us that he would never flood the Earth again. It reminds me that God is always there for me, even when I feel I'm drowning...
My rainbow today on the way home...Brian called and we had an offer on the boat.
I was beginning to worry about how we were going to pay for everything that was breaking, but once again, God has reminded me that he will never desert me!
